Mozilla Monitor, which used to be called Firefox Monitor, a free service that tells you if your email was involved in a breach, introduced its new paid subscription. It offers to automatically remove your personal data and keep an eye on it all the time.

Introducing Mozilla Monitor Plus: Protect Your Personal Data

To enhance user privacy, Mozilla Firefox has updated its free privacy monitoring service, now called Mozilla Monitor, and introduced a subscription option called Mozilla Monitor Plus. Since it started in 2002, Firefox has been famous for caring about your privacy. It gives you tools like ad blockers, Facebook containers, and tracking protection to keep your data safe. This recent update proves that Mozilla still cares about keeping your information safe.

Interestingly, the scan finds cases where your personal information might have been exposed, whether from data breaches or broker sites, and suggests solutions. Users can start a free one-time scan by entering their email address and some personal details like their first and last name, current city and state, and date of birth. The tool will then search for any potential exposures and help users fix and resolve them.

Price and Availability

There is also a paid subscription version of the existing free Mozilla Monitor service, which alerts you when your email has been involved in a breach. Currently, the Mozilla Monitor Plus service is only accessible in the US. The company offers an annual paid subscription priced at USD 8.99 per month (approximately Rs. 745), totaling USD 107.88 for the year.

This premium service not only starts data removal requests but also conducts monthly scans to make sure your personal information stays off data broker sites. You’ll receive prompt notifications once your information is successfully removed.

For users who wish to remove their data, Mozilla will start data removal requests on their behalf. Users can check the status of their requests and keep track of them. Furthermore, after the removal process, Mozilla will conduct monthly scans to ensure that personal information remains absent from over 190 data broker sites.

Your information will be encrypted and handled according to Mozilla’s privacy policy, which prioritizes people’s interests. They only collect the least amount of information needed to provide you with accurate search results. From there, you can check where your personal information is exposed, whether it’s from a data breach or through broker sites.

They also highlight high-risk data breaches, which may involve sensitive information like social security numbers, credit card details, or bank account and PIN numbers. We provide guidance on how to fix and resolve these issues.

Over 10 million people have registered with Mozilla Monitor to receive notifications if their personal data is ever compromised in a data breach. With the Mozilla Monitor Plus subscription, users can get extra security to help them manage and protect their personal information from possible threats and unauthorized access. Due to privacy concern Mozilla’s new plan could be a best way for users to manage their online identity and keep it safe.
